Build Confidence and Explore Musical Expression

In our cello lessons, we use various methodologies customized to your educational goals and individual needs. Starting with simple melodies, we’ll gradually progress to more complex pieces, focusing on developing strong control over sound and intonation.

Repertoire selection will align with your preferences, beginning with familiar folk songs to enhance ear training and refine tone. You may also have the opportunity to compose simple pieces, exploring additional areas of musical expression.

Initial lessons emphasize reading musical notation to help you play with others and tackle more intricate scores with confidence. As you advance, we’ll introduce improvisation, allowing you to explore diverse musical expressions and sensory experiences.

    Ana Luísa Pereira

    Expert Cello teacher and Versatile Musician

    Ana Luísa Pereira, born in Portugal,  holds a Bachelor’s degree in Performance from the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo (ESMAE) and has pursued advanced studies in Performing Arts and Music Education at the Master’s level. With over 10 years of teaching experience, Ana specializes in cello instruction, chamber music, ensembles, and musical notation, offering lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.

    Artistic Achievements and Versatility

    In her distinguished career, Ana excels in both chamber and orchestral music, performing a broad repertoire from early Baroque to Contemporary compositions. Her versatility is showcased through solo performances across diverse genres, including pop, rock, stage music, folk, and choro/bossa nova.
