Overtone and Throat Singing

Mastering Overtone and Throat Singing: Techniques and Choir Exploration

In the overtone and throat singing choir, we explore the art of consciously accentuating overtones and blending them into melodies. We combine gentle Western overtone techniques with the powerful methods of Central Asian throat singing. No prior knowledge is required; the courses are suitable for both beginners and experienced musicians.

In the choir, we utilize a variety of approaches to music-making, such as sound improvisation, traditional Central Asian melodies, overtone choir repertoire, and collaboration with instruments and electronic music. The focus is on the joy of creating sounds together and refining individual techniques.

Individual lessons are available upon request; the content is flexibly tailored to the abilities and interests of the students.
