What you will learn

You will take part in a group ensemble where each participant plays a different instrument. Together, we will explore the gamelan set, learning how each instrument works and how they combine to create the overall music. You will also develop a personal connection with your instrument and discover how playing it produces strong vibrations that can be felt throughout the body. Many people experience a unique physical and sensory response from the layered sounds of the group. We will learn two short pieces and explore the cultural background and traditional arts connected to this music.
