Discover the Music of Southeast Asia

Join us for a two-day workshop exploring the mesmerizing sounds of the Javanese gamelan, one of Southeast Asia’s largest and most captivating instrumental ensembles. Made up of gongs, metallophones, drums, and other traditional instruments, this rich musical tradition from Indonesia has inspired musicians and composers across the globe.

Under the guidance of expert instructors, you’ll have the unique opportunity to play on Kyai Banjar, the exquisite instruments originally belonging to the late composer Paul Gutama Soegijo, housed in Berlin since 1979.
