On Friday, September 12, the 10th Harzer Kiezfest took place from 2 to 6 p.m. on Elsenstraße. At the same time, nahkauf celebrated its 20th anniversary – and by late afternoon, the place was really packed. Whether young or old, with a stroller or a walker – the festival had something for everyone. Thirty market stalls with organizations from the neighborhood invited visitors to participate in numerous activities. Neukölln’s mayor, Martin Hikel, also stopped by and chatted with many visitors, young and old.
The stage program was extremely varied: the “Visionaries” fascinated the audience with a deaf music performance, the Treptow neighborhood choir sang Berlin folk songs, and the Global Music Academy was also represented again.
Dancer Eva Dichtl gave an impressive Bharatanatyam dance performance. We are very happy about this fantastic opportunity to continue to have an impact on the neighborhood around us.
