Dinos Bouzanis

Esteemed Multi-Instrumentalist and Educator

Dinos Bouzanis began his musical journey at the Municipal Conservatory of Ioannina under the guidance of acclaimed musicians such as Giannis Stamatiou, Domenic Vamvacaris, and Christos Zotos.

Contributions to Music Education

Dinos has made significant contributions to music education by founding the first school of folk instruments at the Conservatories of Epirus and serving as a bouzouki teacher at the Tsakalov Conservatory. Since 1994, he has led the folk departments at the Municipal Conservatory of Ioannina and Philippos Nakas Conservatory and has lectured at the Technological Education Institute of Epirus.

Promotion of Traditional Greek Music

Over a 25-year period, Dinos has curated music ensembles for numerous events and festivals, promoting Epirus’s cultural heritage. He has been a music associate with the Traditional Dancing Club of Kallarites since 1990, participating in international festivals in Warsaw and Corsica. His dedication to Greek musical traditions have earned him recognition, including accolades at the Music Schools of the Mediterranean meeting in Damascus, Syria.

At the Global Music Academy, Dinos offers lessons in bouzouki, tsouras, baglamas, and guitar.
