Sara Persico
Singer and Composer
Sara Persico is a singer and composer who completed her Bachelor of Arts at the Conservatory of Naples in 2015. She pursued advanced studies with Diana Torto at the Conservatory of Bologna, earning her Master’s in Jazz Performance with the highest distinction in 2018.
Performance and Composition
Between 2016 and 2019, Sara developed her teaching methods while instructing jazz and pop singing to both adults and children at music schools in Bologna and Milan. Sara was selected for the Temp Studio Multimedia Residency in Lisbon in November 2018, where she presented her solo performance “7ST,” combining voice, electronics, and video screenings. Her collaborations include the performance “GOLD,” directed by Francesca Grilli, which premiered in 2018 at the 40° sopra la Performance and the Santarcangelo Festival.
In 2019, Sara debuted her duo with Ignacio Córdoba, touring Germany and Poland, and released their first album in May 2020 with Luminance Records. Her composition “Superficie” was showcased at the Fondazione Sassi in Matera. Her album “Ruh,” released in October 2020 with Melih Sarigöl for Base Materialism (Newcastle), was well-received. She was also selected for the Residency Amplify Berlin at Acud Macht Neu.
At the Global Music Academy, Sara offers lessons in pop and jazz singing to students both individually and in groups
